Do you ever have meals that haunt you? That’s how I feel about Czech potato dumplings.
I’ve been trying to find a place in London that does them as well as the ones in Prague, but have yet to discover anywhere that’s on a par.
Being a bit of a foodie I spent most of my time there in and out of restaurants and bars, gorging on beef and dumplings and yummy crispy fried onions. I’m dying to go back so I can eat it all all over again!
Here are some of the places I enjoyed on my visit.
MISTRAL CAFE
This cafe is clean and bright with simple tasty grub, including the aforementioned dumpling and beef combo alongside a selection of other traditional (read: meaty) dishes.
LOKAL
An old-fashioned Czech beer hall, this place serves up a yummy selection of sausages and is meant to have great beer if you’re a fan.
GLOBE BOOKSTORE
The front of the Globe is a bookstore, whilst the back is home to a restaurant with American diner food such as burgers and chicken wings.
CAFE LOUVRE
An elegant restaurant with regal antique furnishings and a delicious menu spanning traditional Czech dishes and standard international fare.
Have you been to Prague? Where are your favourite dining spots?
The red paint in that bookstore is gorgeous!! And those potato pancakes look delicious. Makes me wish I wasn’t going on juice cleanse!
