Christmas Gift Guide

Haven’t started Christmas shopping yet? Yeah, me neither.

Never fear, I’ve put together a handy gift guide of some of the top bits I’m loving this festive period, which will hopefully inspire you (and me!) to get it together and get shopping.

Buying clothes for other people is a minefield. 99% of the time, they’ll hate it. Sorry. However I’m a big believer in a good cable knit jumper. They’re one of those items everyone owns regardless of age, gender, or body type, that will never go out of fashion or look dated. Plus, they’re super cosy and Christmassy. It’s a sure winner!

My favourites for men include the Superdry collection, and I’m obsessed with Gant’s ladies knitwear, with a range of lightweight cable crew sweaters that come in a range of pretty pastels. One of each please!

bracelet and rings as before

Christmas gift giving is all about decadence, pampering your loved ones with things they wouldn’t splash out on for themselves. That’s why jewellery is always a winner for mums and sisters, particularly these gorgeous gold chakra-inspired bracelets from Daisy London.

I’m also loving delicate rings at the moment, and my current must-have pieces are from Alexia Jordan’s collection. They’re super chic and minimally designed, but not at all boring. Actually, I kinda just want these for myself. Sorry mum…

nail polishes from superdry, miniatures, lipsticks and jewellery as before

My favourite part of Christmas shopping is picking up stocking fillers! I usually put together (well, help Santa, obviously the big man does most of the work) a stocking for my boyfriend and younger cousin, even though they’re technically both over the standard age threshold for presents from Santa. Any excuse to shop!

This year I’m planning on picking up plenty of makeup (my cousin has been eyeing up my Urban Decay palettes, I’d better get her her own before she steals mine!), novelty jewellery, and of course the classic Christmas socks. Nail polishes are always a sure crowd pleaser too, and the newly launched Superdry Beauty collection includes some gorgeous party shades.

For an adult stocking, alcohol is the way forward! I’m a sucker for a cute miniature, like these mini-whiskeys. Perfect come Boxing Day when you want to make monopoly a bit more interesting with drinking rules!

t-shirt and bottle opener from asos, socks as before

I’ve become well-versed in the act of shopping for football lovers, having to buy for my West Brom supporting dad and boyfriend. This Asos bottle opener is a fun novelty gift, but if you’re going for something a bit more luxe I’d recommend Savile Rogue’s collection of cashmere scarves for rugby and football fans. I got my boyfriend one for Valentine’s and it proved a hit, so much so that he wants another! A great football themed gift that benefits the whole family come the after lunch lull on Christmas day is team-themed monopoly. Chances are most big teams will have their own version. West Brom just released theirs in the club shop, I can’t wait for Christmas day to give it a whirl!

conditioning body scrub from malée

Buying for a beauty buff? A Boots own brand 2 in 1 shower scrub set just will not do. It’s all about products that look and feel luxurious, and the gorgeous skincare range from natural South African brand Malée fit the bill perfectly. I’m also currently loving Maria Nila’s cute hair products that feel as good as they look – and they look pretty fly! Definitely one for Mamma P, if she hasn’t already nicked mine!

embellished flats from boden, socks, nail polishes, bracelets and miniatures as before

If the person you’re buying for the person that has everything, or someone that isn’t really into ‘things’, most big charities offer gift donations. My go-to’s are Centrepoint, who allow you to buy a homeless young person anything from a Christmas dinner to a sponsored room, and Battersea dogs and cats home, where you can buy a hamper for one of their adorable residents on behalf of a pet-loving friend.

Hope that helps with a little Crimbo inspiration if it’s all feeling a bit overwhelming at the moment! Shop some of my picks below:

Thank you for the guide. Will certainly consider some of these -Gant, jewellery and the skincare for some friends with sensitive skin.
