London at Christmas is an Instagrammer's paradise: everywhere you look there are Christmas trees swathed in baubles, lights dripping from every available surface, and plenty of floral displays spruced up with a festive theme. I've been making it my mission to snap as many of my favourite displays as I can, and I thought I'd compile them for you, whether you're looking for a Christmas Instagram cheat sheet, or just want to see some of London's prettiest displays.
Note: I will be updating this throughout the festive season, so make sure to bookmark it and check back regularly!
Covent Garden
One of London's prettiest festive spots, and a must-visit year round, Covent Garden piazza is killing it with their displays this year. Check out the bedecked car, snap a gram with the candy can foliage, or chill out and watch the crowds of shoppers on one of their bedazzled bauble benches.
Peggy Porschen, Victoria
C'mon, you've already seen it on the gram. Pastel pink Peggy Porschen in Victoria is undoubtedly Instagram's most popular cafe, and with good reason. I mean, look at it! Perfect for wanderlusty princess pink feeds, they have a regularly rotating display that's guaranteed #InstaGold (plus their cupcakes are super cute, if a tad pricey).
Elizabeth Street, Victoria
If you've made it down to Victoria for a hot chocolate and a photoshoot at Peggy Porschen, you may as well have a wander down the Instagram paradise that is Elizabeth Street, home of plenty a festive display. A couple of my favourites include Les Senteurs (left) and Moyses Stevens florist (right), as well as Dominique Ansel Bakery's regularly changing floral installations.
Mount Street, Mayfair
This attractive Mayfair street is home to many an adorable boutique, restaurant, and even a swanky looking festive Estate Agents (pictured), and they go all out for Christmas, with lots of beautiful decorated arches, floral installations, and plenty of pretty Christmas trees. Check out Mount Street Deli and The George Club for some of the nicest photo ops.
The Ivy Chelsea
The Ivy always do the best displays, year round they astound the Sloaney Ponies of Chelsea with their innovative floral installations in collaboration with Early Hours. Their latest display for Christmas might just be their best yet, turning the restaurant into a life size gingerbread house bedecked in multi-coloured baubles. Also look out for the small red boxes built into the display, as they're host to candy treats if you're lucky...
Neill Strain Florist, Knightsbridge
You can always rely on a florist to bring it when it comes to breathtaking displays, and Neill Strain in Knightsbridge has by far the best floral display I've seen this Christmas, with an opulent arch in Winter whites overflowing from the storefront. Just round the back of Harrods, it's a beautiful sight, and great for the Gram!
Annabel's, Mayfair
I don't feel like I really need to justify this one to you. I mean, just look at it! Annabel's has gone all out this season, decking the exterior of the fancy member's club with an oversized Christmas tree. It's not the easiest place to grab a snap (be prepared to jostle with Instagrammers, tourists, taxis, awed passerbys, and the occasional actual member just trying to get into the club through the swarms of people...), but it's worth seeing in the flesh either way.
