The lights are up, the wine is mulled, and the geese are getting fat… it must be Christmas! As a self-diagnosed shopaholic, I love a spot of Christmas shopping. And I’d like to think I’m pretty good at it! As such, I've put together a curated Christmas shopping guide for 2023, featuring some of my top picks. These are a selection of gifts I've bought for people this year, or even things I'd love to receive myself (hint hint!).
I've separated them into themes according to who you're buying for: fashion forward picks for your fashion-loving friend, homeware favourites, gifts for the men in your life (Adam may or may not be getting some of these!), and a selection of tech and travel themed gifts for any travel-savvy loved-ones. - Purchase and store gifts throughout the year, to alleviate the financial strain of having to buy all your Christmas presents at once
- Black Friday and Cyber Monday may be a circus, but it’s a great time to get your Christmas shopping done with serious discounts
- Focus on special pieces that will be an asset to the person over trend-led gifts, for example useful homeware or the perfect cosy knit
- Bath bombs and soap sets are nice enough, sure, but ask yourself, is this something you would want to receive yourself? Or, does this feel personal to the receiver and their interests?
- When in doubt, pick up a nice wicker hamper and stock it up with themed goodies, such as “cosy winter night in”, or “cheese and wine night”
